2020 was a trying year, but even in the midst of the Covid pandemic, Cheza hosted a virtual conference and was able to award $5,500 to 8 students.
Awarded $7,050 in scholarships to 10 recipients in 2018. Colleges attended include Benedict College, Santa Monica College, Merced CC, San Jose State, Hampton University, Northern Arizona University, Tuskegee, Long Beach City College, and Cal State Long Beach.
Awarded 8 scholarships in 2017 in excess of $8,750. Recipients attend USC, Morehouse College, Dartmouth, Loyola Law, Santa Monica College, and CSU Long Beach.
Awarded 7 scholarships in 2016 of $5,000. Recipients attend Morehouse College, Tuskeegee, Oregon State, CSU Hayward, San Diego State and Govenors University.
Awarded 5 scholarships in 2015 in excess of $5,000. Recipients attend Morehouse College, UC Irvine, San Diego State, Chaffey College, and Harbor College.
Awarded 4 scholarships in 2014. Recipients attend California State University Northridge, UCLA Medical School, Virginia State University and Clark Atlanta University.
